On 1 August, 2007 the Radio and Television Commission has approved by it’s decision the Implementation Order of the Requirements for Broadcasting of Commercials and Sponsorship of Programmes (Shows).

      The requirements have been approved in order to establish the order of implementation of the requirements of the European Union legal acts for the broadcasting of commercials and sponsorship of programmes (shows). The Order defines, what is considered to be the commercial, what are the types of commercials, establishes the requirements for the length, recognition of commercial, determines the restrictions for commercial, translated during the movies or programmes, and establishes particular restrictions on sponsorship of certain programmes (shows). The requirements, established in the Order, are compulsory for radio or television translators, situated in the jurisdiction of the Republic of Lithuania. The Order came into force as from 1 September, 2007.
