Order of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania No 4-206 of 19 May 2008 on Approval of Rules on the Issuance of Certificates of Origin of Electricity Produced by High Efficiency Cogeneration (Official Gazette (Valstybės Žinios), No 592254).
This Order implemented the Directive 2004/8/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 February 2004 on the promotion of cogeneration based on a useful heat demand in the internal energy market and amending Directive 92/42/EEC (OJ 2004 special edition, C 12, vol. 3, p. 3).
The Order approved the Rules of Issuance and Repeal of Certificates of Origin of Electricity Produced by High Efficiency Cogeneration and approved the proceedings of recognition of the requirements settled by certificates of origin issued in other EU member states. The Rules apply to entities producing electricity by cogeneration and willing to acquire certificates of origin and to power transmission system operator.

This Order implemented the Directive No 2006/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 April 2006 on energy end-use efficiency and energy services and repealing Council Directive No 93/76/ EEC (OJ 2006 C 114, 64 p.)
The Order supplemented the Rules with a new paragraph, which indicated cases when users, with a permissible power output higher that 50 kW must have electric meters recording average factual power of the integration period no shorter than during one month and allowing users to review the compiled data in the power record equipment indicator and/or to review such data remotely or in any other manner. |
