Law No XI-303 of 16 June 2009 Amending Articles 60, 129, 135 and 138 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania (Official Gazette (Valstybės Žinios), No 77-3168).

      

      The Law increased criminal liability for the so-called “hatred criminal offence”: the cases of qualified murder, qualified severe health impairment and qualified non-severe health impairment where a person commits a criminal offence on purpose to express hatred to a group of persons or a person within a group due to the person’s age, sex, sexual orientation, disability, race, nationality, language, origin, social status, faith, beliefs or opinions.
