On 5 June 2003 the Parliament by Resolution No IX-1604 approved the Regulations of the Lithuanian National Policy in the Sphere of Pharmaceuticals. The provisions of the Lithuanian policy in the sphere of pharmaceuticals is aimed at restriction of measures used by the state and its institutions to regulate the pharmaceutical activities, it also serves to ensure equal opportunities for entities to engage in pharmaceutical activities, ensure competition among entities engaged in such business.
